Track your power usage with the Cost Controller Power Strip
I know that I spend more on my electric bill every month than I probably should. But with as many computers as I have running in my house, it’s not really a surprise. I can easily pinpoint where the main power drains are coming from, however, some people prefer to know exactly how much power some of their larger equipment uses. Here’s a cool power strip that will tell you how much energy each individual device in an area uses. The strip features a large LCD screen which will tell you in kilowatt-hours how much energy a device uses over an hour, day, week, month or year. You might be surprised at how much power some of your bigger gadgets used. (Read the full post about ‘Track your power usage with the Cost Controller Power Strip’…)

I wasn’t aware that there was such a mobile phone designed specifically for senior citizen users, until now, however, AHD has introduced the Emporia Life Plus mobile phone. If you’re wondering what the “Plus” is all about, that is to signify that this is already the second generation of the Emporia Life mobile phone.

For its second outtake on providing a mobile handset for the older generation of mobile phone users, AHD is giving them a simple-as-you-like handset that has all the basic features that would answer their mobile phone needs.

FC Mobile handheld for original NES gaming fun

FC Mobile handheld for original NES gaming fun
Oh, man, my husband will never let me live this one down. Nearly an entire drawer in our spare-room dresser, you see, has been home to an original Nintendo console and a stack of 8-bit game cartridges he picked up several years ago for no apparent reason other than the fact that he saw it at a store. He’s always been adamant about keeping the retro set, Duck Hunt gun and all, and now I finally know why. He’s been waiting for this crazy-looking FC Mobile portable game system to hit the market. Designed for those enormous NES cartridges that often required a little “blowing into” to work properly when I was a kid, the handheld is equipped with a 2.4-inch color display, runs on three AA batteries, and can even hook up to a TV for big-screen playback (you know, to make the most of those awesome graphics). Filed in archive Tip by jim on April 30, 2008 New models of anything, cars, cameras, appliances, and computers, e.g. are always appealing and hold the promise of better performance. Usually that is the case, but sometimes the new isn't any better than the old, and many times the old is still able to hold its head up among the newest competition. If you need or simply want a new digital camera and your budget is limited, or you simply don't want to spend more than X amount of dollars, and it's not enough to buy the latest gee-whiz digital camera, try this. Check out the previous models and research those that appeal to you. (Read the full post about ‘Get A Great Deal On A Slightly Old New Camera’…)

Lego Speakers for iPhone and iPod

Lego Speakers for iPhone and iPod
It appears that Perpetual Kid, a site designed to “entertain your inner child”, has lived up to their slogan with the Lego speakers for the iPod and iPhone. These Lego speakers have a connector that is fully compatible with the iPod Classic, Nano, and Mini. I can only assume that the sound comes out of those big plus signs that you see on the front. What you don’t see are the volume controls that are apparently “camouflaged” by design. This contraption apparently requires no batteries, so I can only guess that it gets its power from the iPod or iPhone itself. This could result in a short time of use, but the site doesn’t say how long the Lego speaker will play off of a fully charged device.
